Time for christmas card! This time i tried to make some cute cards, suitable for kids also. Look at the deer, i just love it!

 This sentiment stamp from technique tuesday ''silent night, holy night, all is calm all is bright'' just perfect for the branches stamp i've got long time before. I really love the silhouette look of the branches,it gives you the space for imagine the real scene, dont you think so?

Preparation for christmas card

I should have started to make christmas cards 2 weeks ago, but because of many reasons (actually is many excuses,lol) until yesterday only i finished my first card. Making card is so fun but once you are addicted to it you will keep buying different tools and materials. Recently i got many new ''toys'' to play around, good for me to try new technique and new design. End of the year is like a crazy shopping season, everywhere is doing promotion. I was excited about christmas, feel like to make a lot of christmas cards, decorate a christmas tree, make a christmas wreath for my room and etc. But so far just started to make my cards only. Anyway, it is still not too late but…prepare earlier is better. Gonna speed up a bit!

Panda Birthday Card

My very first attempt to make cartoon birthday card. This is a special request from a customer. At the beginning she requested to add taraxazum (蒲公英). Honestly i really dunno how to handmade one. Anyone got any suggestion please give a comment. Appreciate it!

Christmas is coming soon! Im gonna start to make christmas card. I saw some cardmakers have already started their craft work for christmas. Im getting excited too! I think it is time to replenish some new craft tools.

Baking Fun

I got an interesting finding, you might disagree. People who loves handmade normally loves baking also. As you can see in the picture, that is the first muffin i have ever learnt to bake in my life time, aha! It doesnt look perfect though, who cares?! As long as i enjoy baking and eating, nothing else to bother me. It is a lemon poppy seed muffin, easy to bake and nice to eat. The most important thing is this muffin brings me a lot of memories. I know someone out there is missing my muffin. She claimed that this is the best muffin in the world! I was really happy to hear that, so much sweet memories running through my mind now. I dont know if we could meet again but if we do i'll bake you again!

Organizing My Craft Corner

I'm not a person who is good at organizing but i love to see everything in organized.

I got a big drawer to store my crafting tools. A lot of space but...everything looks messy in it. In order to solve the problem, i decided to separate few smaller sections in the drawer for different categories. So today i went to Jusco and bought few trays with different sizes.

See how did they work out for me!

There are total 9 sizes for this multi purpose tray, i've chosen 7 different sizes of them

Prices are reasonable, the smallest one i got is only rm 1.90, the biggest onet is rm 6.90

The drawer i bought it from Jusco also, see how they fit in perfectly!

I like the tray because you can stack them together. In future if i feel like to have extra section i can simple get the same size and put it on the top

This one for my stamp sets and acrylic blocks. 

 Here i got some alphabet stickers, crop a dile, punches,embellishment...seems like i still got a lot of room to add more!

Finally!

After hours and hours, i've finally finished all the thank you card! How satisfying is it. I can post it out soon!

Small Thank You Cards & Tags

Few days ago someone ask me if i can do some small thank you card for her. She wants to show her appreciation to her customer. Yesterday i got the mood to create then i started to make few designs for her.

Recently I got some new cardmaking toys, so i started to try new style and new technique in my cardmaking. Used some eyelets and distress crackle paint! Love how the paint crack!!

凉凉的天气

最近因为台风的关系，这里的天气也受到了影响，虽然没有台风，可是却下了几天的倾盆大雨，就连心情也受到了影响。凉凉的天气，阴阴的天空，灰灰的心情。

Birthday Card

I made a card yesterday. It's requested by a customer who wants a birthday card for her friend Roseleena. She wanted me to use some roses on the card. My roses are still on the way and not arrived yet, so i've to make some roses with what i've got.

Mini Album Tutorial

Some people asked me how did i make my mini album. In order to answer that, i decided to do a tutorial with step by step pictures. (Samantha, this is for you! :))In fact i've done a base for the mini album long before i thought to make this tutorial, so here i use a paper to demonstrate how to make the album base then continue with the pictures of how i finish the album with my ready base.  The mini album is not my original idea, i saw it on a youtube video but i cant find the video, if not i ll put a link here. However, i've made some changes compared to the original idea. To make the album based, what you need is a 12'' x 12'' cardstock. Let's get started!

 Assuming this is your 12''x12'' cardstock, scor at  3'', 6'', 9'' then turn the paper and do the same way until you get a total of 16 squares.

 Cut at the pink lines

 Folding at the dotted lines to up front.

 Then folding backward

 Follow the arrow folding to the up front again, then backward, front, backward, keep going until you finish to fold it all.

 Then you will get something like this.

 Next thing is to stick the paper together to make alternate top and side pocket. Seal up 2 sides (the marked area). You can either use sticky tape or glue, either one will work. Remember that the unseal side will be the opening of pockets, hence it determines either it is a top pocket or side pocket.

This is the base of album i've done.  Here you will get a clearer idea what was i saying in the previous steps, alternate top and side pocket.

I also use my 1 circle punch to punch out a half circle on each pocket's opening.

As i said i prefer to use paper pad because the design and colour of each pattern paper in the same series are perfectly match to each other. It saves work from choosing different pattern paper. 

Cut the paper at 2 3/4'' x 2 3/4''

Round the corner with corner rounder

Apply distress ink with sponge on the edges to create a distress look. Here i chose vintage photo distress ink.

Use circle punch to punch the pattern paper to match with the opening of pockets

Emboss a sentiment at the first page. I love this sentiment stamp from technique tuesday.

Stick the pattern paper on each page. Remember to leave the first page and last page empty, there will the place of binding with the cover later.

Next, Prepare 7 white cardstocks as tags size 2 3/4'' x 2 1/2''. Round the corner, i use fiskar corner rounder. Try to insert the card into the pocket, if you find it too tight to insert into, you might want to trim the paper into a smaller size

Apply distress ink on the both sides of white cardstock with sponge.

Stamping sentiment, i stamped  with ''these photo tells'' sentiment stamp from technique tuesday and a net texture stamp from kaiser craft.
Tag is for your journaling purpose.

Punch a hole and tie a ribbon on each tag

Cover. Prepare a cardstock match with your album base(measurement 6 7/8'' x 3 1/4''), scor at 3 1/8'' and 3 6/8''

The cover should be able to cover all of your album base.

Choose a fabric sticker you like, cut it half inch lager than the cover,

Stick the fabric to the paper and wrap it as shown in the picture. Then glue the cover to the album.

Use embellishment to decorate the cover as you like.
